Volles Bridal Boutique provided wonderful customer service. The staff made my mother and I feel very comfortable. The bridal consultant really listened to what kind of dress I was looking for. Every dress I tried on was just beautiful! The best part was I found my dress that day and Volles was the first Bridal Boutique I had went to. I would definitely recommend this boutique to future brides. They make every women feel like one of a kind :)

Volles is by far the best possible place to get your wedding dress! I know at least 5 brides who have found the perfect dress at volles. They are pleasant and make you feel important and have more variety than it seems. Their staff is dedicated to helping you find a winner, and my dress was positively perfect for my wedding. Great place. Highly recommended.

Volles Bridal is a cute little bridal boutique. I had tried on my dress at a different bridal store and loved except for this one piece on it. This piece was pretty big too, so I had decided not to buy it at other places. When trying on dresses at Volles I found another one I liked but decided to try on the one that I loved(minus one part) to see which was better. When I explained to the person helping me that I loved the dress but this one part, they immediately brought up the seamstress that they have on sight and she cut it off. I was stunned seeing as how I had not purchased the dress yet... They were so willing to help me make my dress perfect it was amazing. We then began to explore pieces to replace it and found one! So of course I purchased it. I was very pleased with the price of the gown. At other stores it was the same price but did not include any altering. Here at Volle's that price included altering, which many people will tell you can get very pricey. The people there were always willing to help. I did have trouble getting in contact with the alterations department once or twice but it was never a big issue. I went in for three or four different fittings. (they all started to blur together) I do however remember always leaving very satisfied and never worried that something was going to happen to the dress. The last fitting I gave them a piece to sew on the dress to make it perfect and they did it with out a question. They were very helpful and trust me when it comes down to the wire you want that! They even steamed my veil, which I did not get from them (I borrowed someone's) for free! Super Great! They also gave my father great instructions of how to care for the dress on the way home and what to do when he got home (how to hang it up and lay it out) Overall great people to work with.

I purchased both my wedding dress and all the bridesmaid dresses here. From day 1 they were great in helping me find my wedding dress and veil. I loved the service and thought I got great treatment. I do feel th alteration and "extra" fees are a bit much. I barely got anything done in alterations except the bustle. I guess that's just the price you pay now. The bridesmaid discount was nice but they still kill you in alteration fees. One of my bridesmaids went in to get her bra added to the dress and came out with $75 of "must have" alterations. A bit much if you ask me. The free steaming was a hit, finally something free! I had one bridesmaid who was measured wrong and had to have her dress re-ordered. Definitely their mistake as it was inches off. Too drastic for a weight loss. I would still recommend them and use them again. Great service and professionalism. Just have them double check their measurements.

The service at Volle's was amazing. They made sure to be there and worked around my schedule. They did a great job with alterations and the bustle. They really listened to what style I wanted and pulled exactly what I had asked for. Soooo happy with my dress!! Also, we ordered our bridesmaids dresses through them because we got a great discount!

My first appoints at Volle's, I had a great consultant, who listened to what I wanted and did not want in my wedding dress and brought out styles for me to try. We narrowed it down to what flattered my body and I found my perfect dress, for less than $700 I might add. I also purchased a belt and a veil at the same time. It seemed service went down hill from there. For my fitting appointments, I had to wait for 30 minutes before I could go upstairs and put on the dress for 5 minutes with the seamstress. What is the point of having an appointment if you keep someone waiting for 30 minutes. When the day came to pick up my dress, they were not going to let me try it on, because they did not have a room available. I said 2 days before my wedding I am trying this on! They said hold on let me see what I can do. Another 20 minutes of waiting, and finally they let me try on my dress. And good thing I did because the seamstress had made a huge error when she fixed the bust area. She had to take it in, so when I put it on, the rouching was completely messed up and misaligned across the bust area. They fixed it right then, but not after making me feel like I was being a hassle for wanting to try on my dress and make sure everything was OK.

I would normally not go out of my way to write a review of a vendor that I thought was bad, but the service I received at Volle's was particularly horrible so I felt compelled to warn other brides.I found my dress at Volle's after two or three appointments (after the first one, I had to request a new consultant because the first was so awful- brought me dresses that were the opposite of what I asked for and was eccentric to the point she scared my bridesmaids). I decided to buy my dress there anyway because it was the only store that carried that style in a 30 mile radius of my house. I was told it would arrive at the end of May, beginning of June. The first week in June I had not heard a peep from them since January. I inquired about where my dress was and they said there was a delay with the designer. That would have been fine, except I had to keep calling them to find out an update; never was I called to be told where my dress was less than two months before my wedding.I scheduled my first fitting and everyone I encountered over the phone and in the store was crabby and rude. At my viewing, the woman scheduling my first fitting snapped at my mom when she asked a simple question about scheduling the next appointment. On my third fitting appointment, I walked in and a bride was sobbing in the lobby because they wouldn't let her try on her dress when she picked it up-great backdrop for the happiest day of your life!In addition, I paid $350 for "basic" alterations. No length was taken off the bottom of my dress, nothing was taken in on the sides. It pretty much fit like a glove when I tried it on the first time. And yet I was charged an additional $25 to have cups added and an additional $40 for a bustle that I was told I "had" to have by the alterations woman, but was not told about the additional cost until after it was done. What I thought would be my final fitting appointment was awful- the way they did the bustle showed all the buttons and hoops through the tulle at the bottom of the dress and was so obvious as I walked in it. My mom was shocked that they were telling us it was the only way it could be bustled; only with further persistance did they concede to fixing it. That's what I got for over $400 in alterations that were minor. In the end, I loved my dress, but if you are looking for "the experience" with your dress shopping, DO NOT go here. You will be met with rude, crabby women who do not share in your joy of your wedding day. Because I wanted my dress experience to be positive, I tried really hard to like Volle's, but the poor service and bad attitudes were just too much to overcome. You would think after paying several thousand dollars for a dress that you would get friendly people and service in return, but that was not the case at Volle's.

My dress was beautiful and the alterations made it look like it was made for me alone. The dress was ready on time and looked flawless. The service on the other hand could stand some improvement. The staff is not as pleasant as you would find at other wedding shops. To tell you the truth...I received a better attitude from the attendants at Davids Bridal and all I purchased from them was a garter.

I had been to several stores before walking in to Volles, and I could tell that i would find my dress there right away. We made a private reservation on a Sunday (absolutely recommended - they get super busy on the other days) so we had the place to ourselves and really felt like we were the only ones they cared about. Flo was really great at helping to figure out what it was that I wanted and what would look good on my body. We even had the owner helping us! What was great was that they were not trying to upsell me into the more expensive dresses; they all agreed the cheaper dress looked more like "me" than the others. They were also very willing to work within my budget and had an amazing selection of dresses. As I was an out of town bride (Maryland) it was difficult to arrange fittings as they typically only hold one Saturday a month for fittings. This was probably the only real challenge I had with them as they were not very flexible in my situation, but it all worked out just fine. As i said earlier, make sure you go on Sundays because otherwise they get really behind with how busy they are. The seamstress Theresa was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, caring and genuine and really helped make the dress look perfect (it was about 3 sizes to big when it came in).I would absolutely recommend Volles; they were such a pleasure to work with.

I found Volle's when they were having a trunk show for Maggie Sottero whose style I really liked. I got a great deal since my dress was a discontinued model and I bought the sample. Because of that I was able to get a gorgeous dress and alterations all for within the budget I originally set out for myself. The alterations team did a great job--it fit me like a glove--never needed a resize. They weren't able to get all of the pock marks out of the dress, but it was a risk of using a sample. However, that didn't detract from the overall beauty of the dress and won't show up in pictures. I love my dress and only wish I had more opportunities to wear it again.

Volle's is located in the town I grew up in so it was the first, and only place I ended up shopping for my wedding gown. The consultant I had was helpful and listened to my ideas and presented a variety of options. Totally cliche, but I ended up buying the first dress I tried on. I ended up getting my bridesmaids dresses here too and my mom bought her dress as well. My biggest criticism of Volle's is with their alterations policies. I paid a flat fee for my alterations and all they really did to the dress was hem it; the bustle cost extra. I also found them to be very pushy with alterations. Not all of my bridesmaids chose to have their dresses altered there (mostly because of the high costs) and every one who chose not to received attitude from the sales people. All in all however I had a positive experience. Everything came in on time, in the right sizes and colors and at the end of the day that's the most important part.

I had a very good experience at Volles. I got my wedding dress from Flo. She was very kind and considerate of budget and my taste. The alterations department was amazing. My dress fit me like a glove. I fainted during my first fitting because I had not eaten (eat before) and they were extremely kind and helpful. I used them for my bridesmaid's dresses. The dresses came in on time and they were willing to make straps for the dresses. They turned out great! I would definitely recommend using Volles Bridal! Thanks Flo! It was so nice working with you throughout the entire process!:)

I purchased my gown from the one and only shop I visted, Volle's! I went to Volle's after a friend had a successful experience and opted to go for a Jim Hjelm trunk show. At first, I was a bit disapponted that some of the styles I liked were out of my budget range, but my stylist kept trying to find gowns that met my preferences. We finally hit it it when I found a gorgeous Jim Hjelm design that mixed modern and vintage and would be the perfect look for my outdoor garden setting. They helped me adapt the sash into a color I wanted and were so kind during the process. The dress arrived earlier than expected and I was able to excitedly begin my fittings. I always got an appointment when I wanted them and felt like I was valued each time I returned. Alterations was amazing and calming and made the dress fit like a glove. Day-of, I felt perfect in the dress and received so many compliments from those who attended and even those who just saw pictures afterward. It was a pleasant and positive experience all around!

I purchased my wedding dress from Volle's. Overall, I was pretty happy with the service. I went there because they carry many Maggie Sottero dresses and there was one in particular I was looking for. I called ahead and knew they carried it. I only tried on 3 dresses and ended up purchasing the dress I had called about. My only negatives would be that they frequently ran behind on their appointments/fittings and would not mention that when I arrived. I think during my first fitting I waited 15 minutes passed my appointment and at my final fitting I wait 20 minutes passed my schedule appointment. Again, it would have been nice to have been informed that they were running behind. I would recommend them to brides because they did have a wide selection of dresses and their prices were pretty reasonable.

I purchased my wedding dress from Volle's in May 2010 at a trunk show. I live in Wisconsin and came to Volle's because they were the closest retailer to offer a wide selection of Jim Hjelm designer dresses. My first experience was great. Flo, my consultant, was insightful and patient. She listened to my preferences suggested dresses I loved. The dress I ended up selecting was there as part of a trunk show; however, they assured me that they would be able to hold the dress until the following weekend when I was to come back with my mom, mother in law, and sister.Unfortunately, this was not the case. We found out when we arrived that the dress was no longer in the store. I am certain they told me this to close the sale. Instead, we looked at bridesmaid dresses and MOB/G dresses. The selections for the mothers were very dated. A different consultant was helping us, and she was very pushy. My sister tried on 20+ bridesmaid dresses. However, the consultant was very scattered. She kept telling us certain colors and sizes were available when they really were not. She promised to follow up with me the following week and never did. I called and left a message for her, but she never returned my call so I took my business elsewhere.I was told my dress would arrive in six months (beginning of December 2010). In actuality it did not arrive until the end of January 2011. I did not hear from Volle's at all during this time. When I called at the beginning of January to inquire as to the status of my order, I was told they did not have any idea when it would arrive and they were not able to check. When my dress did finally come in, I was not contacted right away. The alterations manager contacted me the following week to schedule my first fitting, and at that point I was told it had been in for awhile.Living two hours from Lake Zurich and working full time, my fittings could only be done on the weekends. Here Volle's was accommodating and worked me in on the Saturdays their seamstress worked. She was very nice and pleasant with which to work.

Volles Bridal was a dream come true. They helped me to find my perfect dress and didn’t push me into purchasing a dress, the first time I was in the store I walked out without a dress, I wanted to sleep on the decision and make sure it was what I wanted to do. The alterations department was amazing! They were able to fit my very heavy strapless dress so well that it didn’t move an inch during the reception, even with the cathedral length train bustled and my jumping around. They were very responsive to my concerns, moving the bustle buttons in 2 days because I didn’t like the way they were placed. My mom also got her dress there and it was perfect. They also did alteration for two of my bridesmaids even though they did not get their dresses there.

My experience with Volle's was good.Positives: my consultant was able to see my vision for my desired wedding dress and found a dress perfect for me within my desired budget. My experience with the various staff members (alterations, ordering, etc) was good and everyone was fairly pleasant and helpful. My dress was received in time and the alterations looked wonderful.Negatives: the only minor negative is I had to wait for a few appointments (no more than 10-15 minutes late). Most were on time.

I really hesitated in writing this review, because I would like to believe that one bad experience shouldn’t define a store. But after 6 months, it still hurts to think of the day I went shopping for my dress at Volle’s. They treated me well when the store was empty, but it was a completely different story when there were other customers around. I went to Volle’s immediately after getting engaged, by myself, get an idea of what I liked: I never intended to find the dress. When I went that time, the shop was almost empty, and the sales person (Katie) was incredibly helpful. I tried on a dress, and knew it was the one, but I was sad, because I had always meant to find it with my Mom. I didn’t want her to be disappointed, so I asked the Katie if, when we came back, she could pretend that I was a new customer, so I could “find” the dress again. She said that was no problem. When I came back, she had already pulled the dress, and told my Mom that it was the one I had tried on before. My mom’s face fell, I could see how hurt she was. On top of that, Katie also pulled some jewelry she had asked me to try on during the first visit, and told my mom that these were the pieces we had “decided” on earlier. My mom now thinks that I was trying on dresses, and shopping, for months before I was engaged. That I basically lied to her, and that I don’t want her involved in my wedding. She still brings it up, and refuses to help with any aspect of my wedding. If that were the only issue, I might have been able to let it go. But Katie obviously thought the sale was closed, and treated me as such. She wouldn’t get me a bra, saying that it wouldn’t work with the dresses I was going to try on, they were too low-cut. This was not what she had said on the first visit, I personally think she didn’t want to spend the time. Then, when I went out to the big mirror to look at the dress, she ditched us to talk to another bride who was already being helped, and ignored us until we were ready to go back into the dressing room. After I had changed back into my clothes, she said she would meet us downstairs. But then, when we were waiting for her, she walked right past us to talk to another girl looking for a prom dress.I ended up buying that exact same dress, at another store, for more money. I still have to buy my bridesmaid dresses, and arrange for tuxes for the guys. But I will not be going to Volle, and refuse to spend a dime in that store.

I found a gorgeous dress here and bought it. I had a few hiccups though. When I ordered it, they forgot a piece (I don't know if it was them or the manufacturer) but they were able to correct it. However, they never called confirming that the piece was in but only left a message saying that I needed to pay off the balance which made me a little confused and angry. But again, they apologized promptly and it all worked out in the end. I realize that they can make mistakes but are quick to make it right. Everyone is very friendly. The alterations experience was awesome. And I also bought my veil here and was able to get a great price on it. Just so people know, they do have odd hours of business so make sure you know when they're open before you go. And the only thing is at the end, there was a piece of the dress that looked a bit off at the train...but I think it got ripped off during the dancing, haha!
