The James Hotel Chicago

The James Hotel offers a modern setting which was perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception. Sinisa was our event coordinator, and he was very professional and easy to work with. The only complaint I had was with the hotel block, because our parents had some difficulty with getting the free upgrade to a suite which was part of our package. The person running that was not as easy to get a hold of as Sinisa was. Another big reason we chose the James was the food. It comes out of David Burke's Primehouse, which is our favorite steakhouse. All of the food choices were amazing. Even the salmon was the best we ever had. They even offered to customize some food choices which were not on their banquet menu. On the day of, everything ran very smoothly. The staff at the James worked well with all of our vendors. Sinisa made sure that everything was set up just the way we wanted. There is also a side room called the James Club with a pool table, bar, and couches which was perfect for "hiding" before the wedding, as a setting for some pictures, and a place to continue the party after the wedding. The bridal suite was also very spacious and comfortable and had a great view of the surrounding buildings. I highly recommend that you check out the James for your wedding!

The James Hotel is the perfect venue for a real Chicago wedding. David Burke's steakhouse caters the James Hotel events and the food is fantastic. The event staff at the hotel is great to work with and they make the wedding planning process easier by helping to make the wedding exactly what you want and work with you to get the most for your money. The ballroom is modern and really cool with earthy tones and wood accents. The hotel itself is a botique hotel, not a chain and therefore very unique. Since it is not a typical hotel chain there is a lot of flexibility in how you want your event to be. Also, the event staff worked great with all of our vendors. I highly recommend doing your wedding at the James Hotel.
