Tamarack Golf Club

Tamarack was the PERFECT place for us to have our winter wedding! The wood in the room gives it such a warm feeling! The one big thing we really loved about having our wedding at Tamarack, was that it was just us in the place. It's big enough for just one wedding and so it was just filled with our friends and family. We had around 100 people attend and Tamarack set up the room nicely. When we arrived, it looked beautiful! All the Christmas decorations were up, including the Christmas tree, wreaths and other white Christmas lights! It was set up exactly as I pictured it in my head. A suggestion for other brides...definitely go with the chair covers and sashes/bows. It REALLY dresses the place up and is worth the money. Tamarack was very, very reasonable with their prices. With their wedding packages, it even includes a wedding cake. The wedding cake is not just a plain white one either. They go through a bakery in Chicago and you choose whatever cake you want, including what cake decorations you want. We had everything we could have ever wanted at a reception and Tamarack provided us with it all! Kirsty was also amazing to work with. She was very prompt in any questions we had and setting up appointments. She made sure everything was done correctly. She was a tremendous help and made the reception planning easy! Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with Tamarack. As soon as we booked them, we had no doubts in our mind that it would be the perfect place for our wedding! We would surely recommend Tamarack to anyone who is looking for a great place to have their wedding reception!

Our coordinator Kirsty was phenomenal. She was SO helpful, and answered all of my many questions in such a professional and very friendly manner. They gave us an amazing price discount for our Friday wedding without us even asking. The wedding package included SO much; passed hors d'oeuvres, vegetable and cheese/cracker platter during cocktail hours, passed champagne on guest arrival, champagne toast for all guests, premium bar, wine service during dinner, wedding cake, sweet table, chocolate fountain, floor length linens, chair covers, chair bows, many choices of linen colors, etc. They worked very well with our other vendors, and they set up the room beautifully. Kirsty was so much help during the planning process, and was very flexible. She was extremely helpful in working within our budget, I cannot say enough great things about her. My only complaint is that they do not allow any food to be taken off of the premises We had several no shows, and a TON of leftover food, so I felt like that was a waste of food and money (though I'm sure the staff had a lot of great leftovers). I HIGHLY recommend Tamarack. It was an absolutely beautiful location, and the staff was so wonderful to work with.

Tamarack was a lovely place to get married and have our reception. Viewing their website now- it looks as though they have changed some of their staff, pricing and packages- so my review may not be reflective of their current service. We booked this hall a year and a half before our big day. Unfortunately in that amount of time they switched banquet coordinators THREE times, and I don't think all three of them were on the same page. One said we'd have free golf passes for our entire wedding party, one said just two passes, and one looked confused when we mentioned free passes! I think this was just poor timing though- not indicative of the actual service there. I might encourage people to get everything in writing in case of staff turnover- with ANY vendor.Overall our day was wonderful. The food was great- the hall was relatively accomodating in setting us set up early (I would have preferred the day before but I guess 11am the day of ended up working out), and our guests were comfortable. The biggest bonus of this place is that we dressed it up to look like it cost us a good $10000 more to book it. So, if you put in the effort, you can have the look of a 4 star place on a two star budget!!!P.S. Get the chair covers- they are SO worth it (my hubby suggested this- and it really made te room come together)!
