Seriously our cake was amazing. As a general rule, I love cake and try to eat a lot of it. Our wedding cake was probably the best cake I have ever had. Oh my gosh it tasted so absurdly good. We have received (and continue to receive) compliments. Just thinking about it makes me want to break into the top layer that is sitting in our freezer.Not only was the cake delicious, but it was beautiful. After talking with us about the design of other elements we were making for the wedding (programs, menus, etc) Mary sent us a design to approve. In addition she requested samples of ribbon we were using so that she could make sure that she matched the color. This was above and beyond the level of service we expected. We were simply thrilled with TTC.

Oh my god... they are awesome!! I had a cup cake tower for the wedding. They do the tower stand and set everything up for me. The cup cake was moist and yummy even after 2 weeks.

Our cake was unbelievably beautiful and tasted SO good. We had no idea what we wanted and they were very patient and took the time to come up with an idea that worked perfectly. I cannot say enough how much we loved our cake. I was surprised by how good it tasted as most taste like cardboard. We even thawed half our top to eat it a few weeks after the wedding because we wanted to make sure that we got to enjoy as much as possible. Amazing, patient, and so beautiful!

Take the Cake did a wonderful job making my sea-themed wedding cake come true. With just a picture and one meeting they were able to create a delicious 3-tierd wedding cake full of decorative coral icing, seashells, and brown sugar sand. It was beautiful and scrumptious!

My cake was gorgeous and also tasted wonderful! The Ritz Carlton worked with Take The Cake to facilitate my cake so I never actually went to the bakery or met with them. However, they did exactly what we wanted when we had our tasting with the Ritz. I was so beyond impressed and thrilled at how gorgeous it was and the fact that it actually tasted wonderful as well! Thank you Take the Cake!

The cake was amazing, we hage the chocolate fudge cake and buttermilk white cake with Cream cheese filling Chocilate filling and a cinnamon filling which was to die for. People who said they never eat cake, ate this cake.

I really loved the cake, carrot cake with a cream cheese and creme bruelle filling, with butter cream icing, REALLY, delicious. Nice people accomidating and excellent service. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. a wee bit pricey but DEFINATLY worth it, wouldn't hesitate ordering again

I couldn't have been happier with the cake that Take the Cake made for our wedding. We had such a great time at the tasting and fell in love with the different buttercream flavors they offered. Take the cake really listened to the design ideas I had and created the exact cake I pictured in my head. They were great to talk with me about size of the cake to make sure I had a great looking cake but stayed in budget by using sheet cake in order to accommodate the number of guests. Not many people would stop you from spending too much money like they did. We received so many compliments on the fabulous looking and great tasting cake. I would recommend Take the Cake to anyone having a Chicago wedding.

Absolutely delicious cakes which were our main priority in choosing a cake. We had two cake flavors (almond and chocolate) and two fillings (creme brulee and chocolate) in each tier and it was so decadent and wonderful that we were only too happy to take home the leftovers. The design was secondary but it came out perfect for us -- elegant, simple, and incorporated a design element from our invitations. Mary was absolutely lovely at the tasting. I only wish I could have her cakes on a daily basis!
