Sway Chicago

Sway Chicago 100% made our wedding. The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone raved about how amazing the band was. I love Steve, he worked with me before the wedding to accommodate all my special requests for songs and a singing guitarist during cocktails. Sway was completely worth the money we spent. If you want to have a rockin' awesome wedding, hire this band!!

SWAY CHICAGO was and IS AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend them to any bride to be or for anyone looking for a great band that will help make any event memorable. I had them play my wedding this past July and they were phenomenal! We couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic they were- which brought me to write this review because my family and I had just been talking about it and now my cousin and best friend who are both getting married next year have decided to go SWAY =) …Other than sounding fantastic (often better than the original recording artists version), the band was alive and kept the party going. Steve was GREAT! My husband and I both agree that he was the most personable (can’t think of a better word so I had to steal it/agree with a below users comment) of all the band leaders we had met prior to making our decision. He was willing to hear us out (as we had some interesting song requests) and make custom arrangements for us as well; giving us some great suggestions. He went up and beyond! Steve was also a pleasure to work with prior to our big day- he was so organized and flexible; so easy to get a hold of and would respond immediately (as I may have email harassed him with many questions on suggestions- but he was still soo nice about it)! So to wrap it up cause I can write forever; SWAY CHICAGO is a fantastic band that I will definitely be calling again for any upcoming events in the future. They will go up and beyond to meet your needs and taste in music- from Rock, to Swing, to Jazz, to Soul, to R&B, to Pop- they went through the decades like the pros they are even up to today’s mainstream hits!

This band was fantastic! They had a ton of energy, and kept my guests dancing all night long! I couldn't have asked for more.

The dance floor was filled and the music was the best. These guys can swing, rock, and put on a great show. We loved it. Steve was great to work with. We met with him a couple of times, and really was awesome putting everything together. He was organized and helpful when it came to the music and everything else. He was great to meet with and talk to about it. He was very responsive to every question we had, and helpful in every aspect. They were just great!

Sway is fantastic! They sound great and are wonderful to work with… Sway played for my wedding back in 2009 and they definitely contributed to making it unforgettable for both my guests, and my husband and I. We loved their services so much that we are working with them again this year for my parents 50th wedding anniversary …Sway definitely knows how to bring it!

We had looked at several bands over the internet, and found Sway Chicago to encompass all of our needs. When we met with the leader, we liked his personable approach, and knew right away he would be a fit for our wedding. He agreed to even do some custom arrangements for our wedding, as we have a very eclectic musical taste. During our reception, people were dancing all night. Our friends were coming up to us all night saying this was the best wedding they had ever attended. I attribute much of this to the great energy Sway Chicago brought to our wedding. I would highly recommend Sway Chicago to anyone looking to have the time of their lives!

We were really excited to book Sway after hearing them on their website. They were the perfect combination of jazzy/motown/contemporary music we were looking for. Working with them, however, was not a particularly pleasant experience. The band's leader was highly unresponsive, each time I called he was claim that he had no reception and ask me to call him back (even though I could always hear him perfectly). When I emailed him about the two songs I wanted them to play for our dances, he never got back to me, and then later claimed that he had never received the email. On the day of the wedding, they did actually sound great, when they were playing. I didn't time it, but their breaks seemed to be quite long and quite often. When we realized that the party was dying down (partly because the band wasn't playing), we asked them to end a half hour early. The leader claimed that he had already paid his band members to stay. Then, our catering manager watched the band leader write checks (pay) the band members as they were leaving. In the end, they did sound great and the guests didn't know anything was wrong. But it did take away from our evening.
