Simply Perfect by Melissa

Hiring Melissa was the single best decision I made about my wedding. She provided day-of-coordination and assistance starting 3 months before the wedding. Melissa was organized, professional, and a wonderfully calming presence on my wedding day. She made sure that everything went off without a hitch, and I didn't have to be at all responsible for keeping the day on schedule because she was on top of it. She made sure that my parents were able to enjoy the event that they had worked so hard to plan, and she took so many things off my to-do list that would have been stressful for me to deal with. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Melissa created a custom planning package for me to provide only the services I really needed for my second marriage. Her fee was very well worth it - I certainly saved it several times over because many vendors I selected offered extras and upgrades to her clients. Not to mention the time I saved not hunting down every vendor and detail myself. She listed to what I wanted and led me to great vendors, all with respect to my budget. She nursed me thru a couple of bridal meltdowns, and lent support through almost 18 months of planning! If you need someone to pinch every penny out of a small budget, manage many details, have special circumstances, are very picky, have a large budget, but want a really amazing, unique wedding, or anything in between, she is your gal. There is no way my wedding would have come together so perfectly without her help.

There's so many wonderful things I can say about Melissa Philips. I contacted her before I got engaged for some planning advice and upon getting engaged she was right there, excited and eager to hear what I wanted and to help me make it happen. Not only is Melissa professional, courteous and completely knowledgeable- she is easy to talk to, warm and fun! Definitely great qualities when discussing your wedding! You also feel like her only client- even though she is hugely busy. I never once felt like I didn't have her full attention or that I wasn't her first priority. Also- she is understanding of budgets, timelines and family affairs that all come up naturally during the wedding planning process. The day of my wedding I was calm- and literally, everything was perfect. I can't say enough about her. Best decision I made regarding my wedding- other than to marry my husband!

Melissa was a pleasure to have with on your wedding! She is very professional and really knows what she is doing. She was sweet and personal. Oh I could go on for days saying how great she was! On our wedding day, I had some anxiety moments but Melissa kept everything ready and organized I couldn't be more happier. She was with me the whole event taking care all of those details. Melissa did a wonderful job as a day of coordinator for my wedding this August. She was very helpful giving advice leading up to the big day. And most importantly, she and her assistant were spectacular helping us out at both the rehearsal and on our wedding day. They were behind the scenes yet always accessible when you needed them. Choosing Simply Perfect by Melissa was easily one of my top best decisions for the wedding!

I did not personally care for her, she is lacking in client service and is not all that pleasant to work with. It seems like she over extends herself with too many clients/brides and is very unresponsive to questions and concerns. I booked her because I read her reviews on weddingwire and saw that she contributed to some magazines. However, that was a poor decision and I suggest that if someone is looking for a good wedding coordinator, go by personal referral from a friend. I would not recommend her to any of my friends. One of my main regrets during the wedding process is not going with a wedding coordinator who was more suited to my personality and expectations.
