Reverend By Request

The reverends met us in downtown Chicago for an intimate ceremony. They brought a silk bouquet for me and took lots of pictures of the ceremony! They were both friendly and professional. We were able to pick from a variety of vows and they even asked what we would like them to wear! It was a great day because of them!

I don't even know where to begin with praising Reverend David. We found him originally through a search online, and scheduled a meeting with him about a year before our wedding. We knew right away that he was the right one for us. His voice, his demeanor, the way he made us both feel comfortable, and was open to any type of ceremony we wanted. We worked with him throughout our 15 month engagement, but really had most of our interaction the last few months. These months, as most brides know is the most stressful time of your wedding planning. It's easy to lose focus and concentrate on things that aren't as important in the overall picture. Reverend David helped me stay focused and had a few conversations with me to remind me once again, what the day was really all about. We worked together for days, and over multiple emails to perfect our ceremony. Up until the last week I was making small changes, and he was totally open to any idea that came up. Our wedding guests could not stop praising our Officiant after the ceremony. Even our DJ who has done countless ceremonies said that was one of the best he had ever seen. Its funny how on your wedding day, you really miss a lot. You are floating on clouds, and sometimes spinning from the excitement and nerves. Reverend David was a constant voice of calm, and someone I could look at during the ceremony to stay focused. My fiancé and I shed a few tears, and he was so thoughtful to have tissues ready for us. He led us through the ceremony like a true professional, but with so much passion, I was really blown away. I was sad that the wedding was over, because we loved working with him so much. I know after we have our children, he will be a part of any blessing ceremonies that we plan for them.

Reverend Gary Phillip did a fantastic job from the planning stage all the way up to the wedding day. He is the most professional and genuine person my husband and I have ever met. He provided us with great ideas for our unique ceremony and incorporated our suggestions to our liking. He was also upfront with us if there were parts of our ceremony that were out of place or didn't flow properly. We have had so many compliments on our ceremony. You can't go wrong with his services!

This is the second marriage for both of us and we wanted a personal, intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family. With that decision made and having found the venue the question became who would perform the ceremony, neither of us belongs to a church. After a thorough search, phone interviews and reviewing pricing, we met with both Reverends David and Gary. They immediately made us feel comfortable, offered flexibility in the ceremony and services they could provide. Reverend David was very accommodating when a week prior to the ceremony we added a rehearsal; he organized everyone and the details of the ceremony. Through our conversations, e-mails, our ceremony choices and our vows, Reverend Gary was able to personalize the ceremony and add just enough religious undertones. We were very happy in our choice of Reverend by Request and recommend them.

Working with Reverend by Request was a wonderful experience and we are so happy that we chose to use their services on our wedding day! We knew that we wanted an officiant that was professional and that truly cared about our ceremony, since to us it was the most important part of our wedding day. When we first met with Reverend David, we knew we had found just that! He was extremely helpful with orchestrating the ceremony and thanks to him everything went smoothly. The ceremony was beautiful and we are still receiving compliments on how personal and romantic it was!

Our wedding was 9/24/11; and Reverend David provided us with a spectator ceremony. His outline of the ceremony was tailored to really fit us, and he allowed us to add too if we wanted. We were truely moved during his readings. He was extremely kind, & patient with us, and even when a scared groom needed someone to clam him Reverend David was there. He also really helped us within our budget, he didn't turn us away. We would highly, highly recommend their services. They are good people looking to only make your day special. I really feel we gained a great honest friend.

Absolutely wonderful. I had a minister lined up for our wedding that disappeared on us, so the Sunday before our wedding I contacted Reverend by Request and within two days we had an entire ceremony planned out. I am very grateful that they were available and were in such short a time be able to put together a wonderful ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. The day of the wedding came and the ceremony went perfectly, and they walked us through everything and even was there to calm down the bride before she walked down the aisle. I can not thank them enough for all they did for us and I can not recommend them highly enough. They were perfect for us and I'm sure perfect for anyone who is looking for an officiant for their wedding. You will have no regrets going with Reverend by Request.

We had over a year to plan our wedding and we had decided to meet with 10 of the top ministers before we chose which one would be the best for us. We met with 5 of the 10 before we met with Reverend Gary. By the time we were done with the meeting we decided on the spot to have Reverend Gary officiate our wedding. No need to go further; we canceled the rest of our appointments. A couple of the others weren’t even ministers; they were just wedding Officiants. And the others were pushing us too hard to choose a wedding package that wasn’t for us. We just wanted a normal wedding; NOT a Night Club Act! We didn’t want our story told again, we didn’t want everyone laughing during the service; we didn’t want to stand down the stairs and face the “Audience”. We wanted a formal wedding where everyone enjoyed the wedding as it was intended to be. Reverend Gary hit the bull’s-eye for us. He listened to what we wanted and helped us in choosing the right package that was right for us; not for him. The wedding was as we had dreamed it to be, we all giggled a bit, we cried a bit, but mostly we felt the presence of a higher being, and knew that we had made the right decision. Thank you Reverend Gary for giving us the best wedding, EVER!

Reverends Gary and David were great! From my very first contact with David, he was always quick to respond to questions and showed genuine excitement for our upcoming wedding. We were able to pick from different sets of vows and the ceremony was tailored to our beliefs. He even asked me what I wanted them to wear for the ceremony! The reverends were very accommodating in terms of when and where to meet us. On the day of the wedding, they were prompt and friendly. It was just the two of us (no wedding party) and the reverends practically did a photo shoot with us. We ended up with a lot of great pictures because they took the time to pose us in different spots. David even brought along a lovely silk bouquet, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend their service.

Our wedding this past April was phenomenal due to Reverend David and Reverend Gary’s experience. They assisted us with creating a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. Reverend Gary has a grounded yet very spiritual presence. He brought such a warmth and confidence to our day. My husband, myself, and our guests were at ease because of Reverend Gary’s strength and his calming nature. We laughed, we cried, and we felt the magic! He has a way of creating a sacred space where everyone feels welcomed. I would definitely recommend Reverend Gary to anyone planning to get married! Reverend David is also very resourceful and knowledgeable. He was able to suggest beautiful poems to implement into our ceremony. This was very helpful because we were completely lost as to how to proceed, but Reverend David did not miss a beat. After our first consultation, we knew that the ceremony would proceed with grace and ease, and it did! Our eternal thanks to both Reverends!

Reverends Gary and David make a great team! We mostly worked with Reverend Gary as he was our Officiant, but Reverend David handled all of the preliminary stuff and our license. Both of them were friendly, professional and responsive from the very beginning and leading up to our big day. Reverend David, was very informative during our first phone call for prices and ideas for the procession/ceremony content. After we met both of them in person, we knew we had to ask them to officiate because they were very organized and they gave us great ideas for our ceremony but weren't pushy because what they cared about was making the ceremony special for us. Reverend Gary was very flexible in personalizing the ceremony based on our preferences and was good about following up especially as it got closer to the wedding date. Also, I was a bit nervous about certain aspects of the wedding, but I always felt calmer after talking to Reverend Gary since he has a wealth of experience with brides and weddings. He did a great job officiating our ceremony which went very smoothly. Thanks you Reverends!

I truly can say that there isn't a word in our vocabulary wonderful enough to describe Reverend Gary and Reverend David. They made our wedding magical! We were a little reluctant hiring a minister through the internet, but from the first phone call all the way through the wedding day, they both made us feel at ease and never let me feel that this was just a business to them. The first time I called I spoked with Rev. David on the phone. His kindness and calm attitude put me at ease. He never pressured me to make a decision on the spot. The phone conversations were always the same when I spoke with either of them. After a few phone discussions, we decided to meet with them at their office. There we decided to have a full Christian Ceremony. On our wedding day, our family and friends were so awestruck with the reverends presentation, that if it wasn't for the fact that we were in the hallway of a banquet hall, you would have thought you were in a Cathedral. Reverends Gary and David's vestments were so beautiful and added so much to the feel and atmosphere of the ceremony. We were so overjoyed that we cried with tears of happiness. We will always be grateful to them for making our wedding day a dream come true and will forever speak so highly of them and their company! Thank you both!

First off I'd like to say Thank you to Reverends Gary and David. They made our wedding a day that will always be remembered of fondly. Both answered our calls quickly and the courtesy was above all the rest that we spoke to. They even went beyond what we had agreed to making our wedding a dream. Thank you!!! We had been looking around for a Minister for a couple of weeks before we found Reverend By Request. It seemed that every other Minister was only interested in getting us to sign their contracts, like it was just about the numbers. But when I called Reverend By Request I spoke with Rev. David. He was so nice and calm and very informative. He didn't rush me. We went over what we were looking for and suggested the right wedding package for us. Rev. Gary officiated at our ceremony. He was a delight. He performed our ceremony with the grace and beauty that we were wishing for, AND MORE. Rev. Gary went above and beyond, and I know that we wouldn't have received the same superior service that we had. Both Reverends were a delight, and my husband and I have already decided that we want them to Baptise our children.
