Well...I dont know where to begin with this place. Everything was perfect and the staff was very friendly and always willing to help. The table set up and linen placement was amazing along with the Odyssey's uplighting. The food was awesome, we received nothing but compliments about the food. The bartenders were also awesome. We added an extra bar at the other end of the room which worked out perfect. We also extended the reception till 1am and people still didnt want to leave. Thank you sooo much!!!

We had our wedding at Odyssey in September (2010) and we have not one complaint! The food was perfect! We had a antipasto buffet set up for the appetizers. For dinner we chose cream of broc. soup, the signature salad, and the chix/medalion combo plate with potates anna and green beans. We had a band set up in the east ballroom. Drinks never stopped flowing. I STILL hear about how amazing it was months later. They met our expectations and beyond. Sarah was great to work with!

This is truly the best place to have a wedding reception. The staff goes above and beyond everything!!!!!! My wedding reception was Nov 28, 2009 and could not have been more perfect. All of the ladies that work there are so kind, helpful and truly go out of their way to help you!!!! Anything that they can do to help they will!!! The place is beautiful and the food is awesome!!! I had my brother in law walk up to me and tell me he got goosebumps when he first walked into the room because it was so amazing. Every guest at our reception raved about how pretty it was and how the food was awesome!!! My husband and I looked at several places for our reception and NOTHING compared to The Odyssey!!!!

We had an amazing experience with the sales staff. We worked with more than one person, however each person was wonderful! They walked us through the process and made an overwhelming experience very manageable. The venue is lovely and the evening was flawless. The food was so delicious. The guests were very pleased with the food selection.

Overall, I was very happy to have my wedding and reception at Odyssey. They were very responsive and answered all of my questions beforehand. The only problem I had with the Odyssey was the night of the rehearsal. I guess I just assumed a staff person would be there to help with the rehearsal, telling us where to go in/out of the building, etc. and they didn't help at all. I had to hunt someone down just to ask questions about where we should walk in and out of towards the gazebo. I also felt like the day of the wedding the banquet manager we were assigned was a little crabby and felt rushed with getting introduced, etc. Other than that though, I was very pleased with the women who work in sales/banquet - they were awesome and very helpful. The venue is absolutely beautiful, as is the gazebo outside where we got married.

My Wedding Day was perfect. I originally wanted the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, however, Odyssey was completely booked. The staff convinced me that the Friday would be to my benefit because I could take advantage of their discounted rate. I was so happy I went with that Friday because that Saturday it RAINED ALL DAY! I was able to get gorgeous pictures outside (which are all over my house!!) I look back with fond memories. My family still talks about my Wedding. It is the best they have EVER been to!! The Filet was perfect. It is true you get what you pay for...it was top-notch all the way!! Everything was taken care of and I was able to just ENJOY!!

The Odyssey Country Club is a very beautiful venue with a lot to offer. If you're looking for a grand ballroom or a more intimate setting, they have both. My husband and I had our reception held in the lower Terrace Ballroom that can hold up to 250 guests. We had about 215 (21 round tables and the head table) that fit comfortably in the room. The layout of the room was perfect for the intimate setting we wanted. The dance floor was the perfect size where our guests wouldn't feel too crowded or too exposed like a grand ballroom would. With floor to ceiling windows across the entire room, I honestly think this room has the best view of the club landscaping, gazebos and fountains. There are also several glass doors that provides your guests access to the outside patio. Each end of the room also had its own bar so the guests did not have to crowd around one area. The food was delicious! Between the hors d'oeuvres, main courses, and the sweet table, our guests told me on the spot that everything was amazing. We were also happy that Chef Alex was able to accommodate our guests for their different dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, soy & dairy-free, nut allergies, etc.) He also was willing to meet with my husband to ensure that the customized vegetable napolean meal included vegetables that were in season. The only drawback was that the meal was slightly different at the reception than what we had tried at the tasting. We really loved our customized vegan meal at our tasting back in April. The vegan meal actually served at the wedding ended up having several layers of phyllo dough in between the vegetables, which made the meal massive and it drew some concerns about whether or not the meal was still vegan. But it was and it still tasted delicious, but we preferred the original presentation that we had at the tasting. Our guests were happy though, so we were still overall pleased. The office staff also was also helpful answering all of our questions and were quick to respond to all of our needs. The only setback was that they didn't have on-site recycling and would not allow us to take the bottles to recycle ourselves for liability purposes. We understand the legal aspect of it; however, after getting mixed messages, we were disappointed to hear that they wouldn't be able to recycle the bottles. Overall, the Odyssey Country Club was a great venue and worked well with our budget. All of our guests raved about the entire reception and thought it was an elegant venue with great food served in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly and professional. We definitely recommend this venue to other couples.

I had an absolutely beautiful reception, and since I was planning from the East Coast it was important that I held the reception at a place that I could easily work with and who would do all they could assist me. The event planners were great. They showed me every last possibility of what I could do with my space. The staff on the day of the reception was that much better. Everyone was alway professional and when I needed them to tweak a few things that day they did everything to accomodate me. Our host for the evening made a point of introducing himself the moment I walked in the door. He kept his entire team on point and I didn't notice one problem or if there even were any. The only negative with this place is there is no flexibility with the menu. We wanted to have some sort of hors d'voeurves but the options were really pricy and you defiitely get more than you'll need. We decided it wasn't worth adding on an extra $2,000 for them and went without. The less expensive options we knew would not be eaten so we considered them equally to not be worth buying. Their selling point is that they're "unlimited" but the reality si most people only care about the drinks being unlimited so having to pay for unlimited hors d'voeuvres for every single person there wasn't reasonable. We asked if we could pay for 4 pieces per person but they would not negotiate on that. I just bought Garretts Popcorn as my guest gift so they had that to snack on with drinks before dinner. That was a huge success and much more in my budget! Overall though my experience there was lovely and we booked the largest room that is the only one on it's floor and it was well worth it. You look out at the Gazeebo and the guest have their own patio to go out to if they want to get outside for a bit. Just beautiful!

Odyssey Country Club was a perfect place for our Christmastime wedding! We had it just a week after Christmas, and the place was decorated emaculately. It was done in classy, rich jewel tones--devoid of any elves or reindeer or candy canes, so fear not! We barely needed to add decoration; just simple centerpieces and a few things here and there. It was gorgeous. The staff was incredibly helpful and very nice throughout all of the planning, and they were always happy to accomodate when someone wanted to come and see it before the actual event. The food choices are pretty vast, and they offer a free "tasting" where the couple can go and try out a few dishes to narrow it down. This was so helpful for us, because we were doing the family style option, and we were constantly changing our minds on what we wanted our meat choices to be! The fish was amazing. Everyone said the food was fantastic--a rarity in wedding food! The bar package was great, too. They offered a nice discount for Friday/Sunday events, and the staff was wonderful, too. Some of the small things that really help out were things they did without even batting an eye; ie: setting up placecards, storing centerpieces, having a coat check, and staying in contact with us throughout the entirety of our wedding planning so that we were not forgetting what needed to be done next! Everything was well taken care of, and we had little we were responsible for after the evening ended (they clean up, a big perk compared to a banquet hall!). The grounds are gorgeous, too. The rooms all have big, floor-to-ceiling windows on at least one wall that look out over the golf course, which is beautiful. For warmer weather, too, there are many perfect settings for some great pictures! I would highly recommend this venue.

We had our wedding reception at the Odyssey. Our room was the east ballroom, which is beautiful, once the sunset the fountains which our room overlooked changed colors and was gorgeous! The food was great and everyone raved about the food, the look of the venue and the staff was great. One of the bartenders, went out of her way to make a drink which I dont think was one that is requested often and did a great job! Being at the head table, our server was prompt and was great about making sure my husband and I had drinks all night, and enough food at our table! When we walked in the room looked amazing, the chair covers were perfect as were the table set ups. In the beginning and throughout the planning process I thought the price was high compared to other country clubs in the area, but, really felt it was worth it at the end of the recpetion. I had read others reviews that stated the Odyssey did not do enought to help them "plan" the recpetion or did not help out with placement of the bridal party at the Ceremony. No offence, thats what wedding coordinators are for! I hired a wedding cooridnator which deals with all of thoes details, the Odyssey staff should not be responsible for planning or organizing the wedding as it is not their jobs. I think they did a great job, my only issue was they are not flexible with payment types, they do not take credit cards at all and will not take a check within a monthof the wedding, needless to say I was running around to get cashiers checks 48 hours prior to the wedding which a brides doesnt need to do as she has enough going on. I dont know many people who 15,000. in a savings account to put towards a wedding so we have to try to find other vendors who would take credit cards knowing they "cash" would be needed for the hall. I am sure this is to save them from getting burned but, I dont see why the first 2 or 3 deposits can not be made on a credit card.

Overall, I loved the Odyssey and the service they provided!! I had my wedding in the West Ballroom that is supposed to hold up to 200 people. I had around 155 and it seemed a little cramped. Maybe this is because of the size of my head table (15 people) that it took up more room than usual for this layout. The sales office was very easy to get a hold of and to deal with. They responded very quickly to emails and returned phone calls immediately. My one disappointment was that I felt a little nickle and dimed on certain things. When I had my initial meeting with the office, I asked if they could have certain types of liquor on hand. The response was "oh definitely, just let us know what you want." Maybe it's my fault for not asking but they didn't tell me it would be for about 5x what you could buy that bottle of liquor for in the store. They never mentioned the additional cost so I ended up spending around $700+ for specific liquor that I wanted for myself and our parents. As for the food, everything I tasted was excellent and I got a lot of compliments on the food! For Hors d'oeuvres, we had bruschetta, spinach pies, mini quiches, and 3 other ones that escape my memory because I only tried the first 3 and liked all of them! The soup came out piping hot (rare for banquets!), the salad was good, entree had huge portions and tasted great (and they changed out the sauce for the chicken to something I requested). I did the late night snack as well and my guests LOVED that. It seemed to be the perfect thing for a bunch of drunk people at 11 p.m. :) Odyssey was great about catering to different dietary issues. I have family members that eat like 5 year olds so I was able to get a hamburger for a member of the bridal part, grilled cheese and fries for my uncle, and request different meals for all 4 of the children in the bridal party. The bartenders we had for the wedding were awesome too! Made great drinks and were on top of things all night long. Everyone seemed to get service right away and there was never a line for getting drinks. Overall, it was a great experience at the Odyssey but I just wish they would've been more upfront about some of the charges with extra items.

Odyssey is a great venue if you are looking to have your wedding and reception in one place. The banquet rooms are absolutely gorgeous and they update them with new carpet and paint regularly. The are very flexible when it comes to how you want your reception room to look and how you want the food cooked. For my wedding for example, we picked 3 different entrees and had all of our sides seasoned how we liked it. The staff was very responsive, even in the days leading up to the wedding when things get so hectic and last minute plans change so quickly. I would refer them to anyone.

Prior to the wedding day, I was a little frustrated and disappointed in Odyssey. They only do tastings once a quarter and even though we were coming in from out of town, they told us they couldn't accommodate us with a tasting at another time so we sent my brother and mom to our tasting. After talking to a head manager after the tasting, he said he could have done a tasting when we were in town - which made me even more upset since we had inquired about this before and were told no several times. We originally were thinking we would do a family style meal, but according to bro and mom, the family style food at the tasting was terrible (and my mom isn't one who normally complains). Luckily my bro sampled the filet mignon medallions and mediterranean chicken and raved about both so we ended up paying a tiny bit more (I think about $2 a plate) to go with this option (everyone got both the beef and chicken) and I am so glad we did. We also paid extra for hors d'oeuvres and am glad we did since there was a gap between the ceremony and reception and I figured the guests would be starving. (we only had our reception here) The food on the wedding day was AMAZING - everyone raved about it and the service all night was impeccable. We were told by several guests that the servers were around constantly asking if they needed anything else or wanted anything from the bar during dinner. Several told us that it was the best food and service they ever had at a wedding. My dad commented that it was the first time he actually received hot soup at a wedding. Everything the day of was set up perfectly and our band worked with the Odyssey on the day of to organize the timeline and to ensure everything went smoothly and I wouldn't be bothered with anything. I didn't have a Day Of Coordinator and it would have been totally unnecessary if I did because between the band and Odyssey they had everything covered. The space itself is beautiful and the outside is a perfect spot to get beautiful pictures - also having the outside balcony is nice for people to get fresh air, have a smoke, or get away from the loud inside to talk if they want. So all in all they definitely redeemed themselves and I would highly recommend them.

Very elegant, left Christmas decor up for January wedding. Great food. Had a rule that you have to have hurricane candle holders for all candles.... so we had to switch centerpieces

We had our reception in the terrace room and the view was beautiful. You could see all the fountains from every seat in the room without standing up. Everyone enjoyed their meal and overall we had a great experience. Just to be honest we did have a few problems including: 1. One incredibly rude server who harassed the groom during the reception due to a miscommunication about the cake serving. We had no problem with the mistake, but he didn't need to be yelled at. Then the same server harassed the bride the instance the lights went on after the reception regarding clean up. It was not a good final impression. We have talked to the Odyssey and hope this issue will be resolved for other parties. 2. The servers during cleaning up emptied all the chocolate out of our candy dishes and gave us the empty containers and none of the extra truffles. The truffles were not cheap and we would have enjoyed the extra. Multiple people saw them cleaning up and thought they were helping by consolidating it all to one location, but all we had the next day were empty containers. 3. They were supposed to save hors' for us the bride and groom so we could enjoyed them after the cocktail hour, but they left them on our head table and our guest ate them. They told us about it at the end of the cocktail hour and since we paid for unlimited we thought they just refilled the plate, but we didn't get any. We aren’t sure why they didn’t keep the plate in the back until we were seated. Heard they were wonderful from the guests, but unfortunately we wouldn't know. Overall, great experience during the planning and almost all the servers but the one were excellent. We would go back in a heartbeat, but wish the above problems hadn't occurred. Not every aspect of wedding can be perfect and if these were our problems we did well.

The basic services that they provided were great. We requested a certain type of wine at the bar and they accommodated that at no extra charge. On the down side, we paid a lot of money for the butler style hors d'oeuvres and were very disappointed with them. Overall, the experience was great and the staff were helpful from start to finish.
