Mill Creek Golf Course

Mill Creek was awesome! I cannot think of one bad thing that happened before or during our wedding! The process of planning was so smooth, the food tasting was fun, the final checks were easy, and the actual day was amazing!! Nicole was so helpful and answered any and all of our questions whenever they came up, and they were incredibly accommodating to our limited budget -- Seriously, no one would know that we had a limited budget judging by the venue, food, or decor. Thank you, Mill Creek, and I would recommend your facility to anyone planning their wedding!

I was so happy with everything! Nichole was great to work with! She made everything so easy and was very accommoadating to our requests. The reception went very smooth and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was good and the staff was friendly. The outdoor area looked perfect for the cocktail hour and the banquent room looked exactly how I wanted it too. Everything was great!

Our Reception would have not been nearly as beautiful and fun as it was with out the help of Mill Creek. Our guests raved about the patio during cocktail hour. They all enjoyed the food, the decorations and the waiters/waitresses. Nichole was FANTASTIC to us and so very accomodating. The only issues we had were a long wait time between courses during dinner, and a few guests complained about warm beer being served from the bar. After this was brought to the bartenders attention the problem was fixed immediately. I would recommend Mill Creek to anyone who is looking for a gorgeous venue for their ceremony or reception. They really know how to please a bride (and groom!!)

Our experience with Mill Creek was awesome. Nichole Yahn was so helpful and easy to work with. Many of our guests commented on the venue and all the beautiful windows in the reception room. We also got tons of compliments on the food and nice wait staff. We got so much for the money compared to other local venues. We had an amazing wedding day largely in part to Mill Creek!

Very flexible with food choices and beverage requests, the location was beautifully maintained and the staff very responsive. Large portions of food and beautiful view/golf course for pictures. The best value we could find given what we wanted: food, view & ceremony/reception area, cost.

Nichole and her staff are the bomb. This is coming from the groom so you know it has to be good. Mill Creek is definitely my choice for my next marriage. ;O)

My husband and I absolutely loved our day at Mill Creek! We had a rather short and complicated engagement with my (now) husband being in the military, but Nichole Yahn was more than accommodating and incredibly helpful with all our switching dates and times. I was a very indecisive bride, but she made the whole planning process easy and quick, just the way I needed it to be. The deck was absolutely gorgeous, perfect for our April ceremony and Mill Creek even had 2 trellises to choose from. The ballroom was the perfect size for our 130 guests (with room to spare!) and decorated tastefully. The food was also delicious and The Cakery (whom Mill Creek works with for the cakes) did a fabulous job on our 3 separate cakes. I will highly recommend Mill Creek to anyone getting married in the Fox Valley area and beyond!!!

Mill Creek Golf Course did a wonderful job with our reception in March of 2011. Nichole was great to work with! There were so many options for everything and we were really able to feel like we customized our reception.

My husband and I researched many reception venues in the area and came across Mill Creek. I saw the pictures and it was exactly what him and I pictured for our wedding. The outside patio where they hold the reception is just gorgeous. They have flower beds lining the aisle that make it look so pretty! They have an arch where we stood for the ceremony that over looks the golf course. Nichole was our event coordinator and she was amazing! She was so quick to respond to any email or phone questions I had. She always made sure that we were satisfied with our choices too. We felt very comfortable leaving things in her hands to run our ceremony/reception. The day of the wedding was just magical. The ceremony was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better day. We had so many guests who just raved about how beautiful the location of the ceremony was. The reception went very well. Food was good, bar ran well, and Nichole and her assistant were always making sure that we were doing ok. It was fantastic! I have no complaints about anything at Mill Creek! A lot of our guests were very happy that everything was at one place. If you are looking for a fabulous place to have your wedding, choose Mill Creek!

The assistance prior to the reception was great, as was the professionalism. The service during the reception was very efficient, almost to a fault, as people were frustrated that their drinks and/or dessert were picked up prior to them being able to finish. The room was extremely cold and some of the guests complained. Because of the winter day and the amount of windows, I don't know if that made it difficult to regulate the temperature. The food was excellent! There needs to be a better way to let guests know about the sweets table, as many were not even aware of it. I was disappointed that we were unable to bring any of the sweets home and wondered what happened to the leftover cake. (That should have been noted prior to ordering the sweets table as I might have made a different decision on having it.) Overall it was a great experience and the staff worked with the couple/family to make it memorable.

If you are planning on having your wedding outside, HAVE A RAIN PLAN IN PLACE! I was supposed to have my wedding outside at Mill Creek, but then it rained. Thankfully, we were able to move it inside to the reception hall and they were very accomodating to our last minute change, but it certainly wasn't ideal. They also have a tent if you have to move your wedding inside. They were able to move everything inside quickly however, so it didn't hold up the wedding too much.

I can't say enough about Mill Creek and what a tremendous experience we had working with them. I read hundreds of these reviews about other venues and found myself underwhelmed after seeing them. It was a personal referral that sent me to Mill Creek and we couldn't be happier. They are professional, friendly, helpful and flexible almost to a fault. It was reasonably priced and the food was terrific. Everything was as they said it would be and they went out of their way to make it the perfect wedding. I feel privileged to have had my wedding at Mill Creek and I would do it all over again. ~Meredith

My husband and I loved Mill Creek. It's a beautiful place and the our experience was wonderful.

Everything was absolutely perfect...the only issue that arose from some of my family members, who were at the tasting and selected the menu choices with us, was one of the appetizers (the favorite) was not surved. Not sure what happened...

Michelle and the staff were great. They were always willing to meet our needs and exceed my expectations. The day of was flawless. The only issue was had was in the very beginning when John left. Once we were able to get intouch with Michelle and get that squared away, things were great!

I was very pleased with the people I worked with in the process of setting up the details for our wedding reception. They were very flexible and willing to work with what we wanted. There were a few things that we were not too pleased with on the actual big day, however. We asked that iced tea be placed on the table and it was not. We asked that some hor'dourves be saved for the bride and groom-they were saved, however we had to ask for them to be brought out to us. Other than that, everything went well.
