Dee was so much fun to work with. She said right from the start that if she didn't email you back, call her- she's a baker in the kitchen! I loved it. She was really great at accomodating our dessert table and suggested tons of delicious treats that were a hit! When I asked for something specific, she did everything she could to make it happen and let me know when it wasn't a good fit for my outdoor wedding. The cake was sooo tasty and we had a lot of compliments on everything at the table! She was really great and is very talented- would highly recommend!

I loved the service and decor of my cake. Dee was able to make a masterpiece from my verbal ideas, she was able to elaborate and it turned out great. The only thing on my wedding day the cake tasted like it was made the day or two before and tasted stale but overall good service.

Dee provided us with a fantastic wedding cake for a great value. The cake itself was so delicious and the design was exactly what we were envisioning. The separate grooms cake that she also created for us, portrayed my husband's personality perfectly! I would definitely recommend Dee's Specialty Cakes for any special event where an amazing cake is desired :)

The wedding cake from Dee's Specialty Cakes was a major hit at our wedding. The cake was so delicious, many of my guests said it was the best they'd ever tasted, I have to agree with them. The cake was also beautifully decorated. Dee was so easy to work with, I gave her sketches to work from and she surpassed my expectations. She also has many amazing cake designs to choose from. I am planning to ask her to make a cake for my husbands birthday, any excuse to taste her cake again.

Dee did an amazing job on my wedding cake. We had carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The decorations on the cake were sunflowers and they were perfect. She matched the picture I gave her exactly. Everyone I've talked to since our wedding has mentioned how wonderful the cake was. I've been told it was the best they have ever had at a wedding and several people said they had 3 pieces! I highly recommend her for any special occasion. We will definitely be getting more cakes from her in the future!

Our cake was beautiful! We had a tree growing up the front with swirly branches and birds on the limbs. It was colorful, elegant, and DELICIOUS! We also had a Super Mario Brothers grooms cake which was a BIG HIT!
Dee is wonderful to work with. She is warm and cheerful and helped us create the perfect design for our cake. And she gives 10% of sales and all tips and donations to Canine Companions for Independence. We couldn't have asked for a better combination of philanthropy and deliciousness!

Loved the cake, we received so many compliments on the flavors. (I'd wished I'd had a second piece!) Dee was very accomodating with us as we came up with some wild combinations. Even with a date & venue change Dee was so accomodating.

Dee is a breeze to work with and is so good at understanding the design you are looking for. I brought her some pictures when we first hired her, she looked them over and estimated a cost and number of servings we needed and then as it got closer we went for a cake tasting and chose some flavors. We had a three tier cake as well as a sheet cake and they both were delicious (white cake with strawberry filling and with buttercream frosting and yellow cake with mocha filling and buttercream frosting). The cake looked exactly as I had hoped and was absolutely beautiful. I also got a groom's cake sailboat that was so right on with what I wanted and was an awesome value. If you're getting married in SW Michigan definitely meet Dee!

Awesome Awesome vendor! Definitely use her. Love Dee. She is so nice and flexible and her cake is the best. She put up with my fiance for months so he could finally decide on doing both cupcakes AND a small wedding cake (that tasted like tiramisu!) She went way above and beyond what was expected of her, and she is the best!

Yum! We went with a small and basic white on white cake that was beautifully done in the end! The tasting of course was wonderful and she has photos of amazing things she's done in the past. Very elaborate things are possible! SHe worked with me on budget to keep me where I needed to be. We also had some chocolate chip cookies done by her which were a hit! Very highly recommended.

Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with! I had an image in my mind of how I wanted my cake to look, I described it to Dee, and she nailed it! The cake was *exactly* what I wanted. It was decorated perfectly and tasted delicious! She also did an amazing job of matching the cake's colors to my wedding colors.
I would definitely recommend Dee's Specialty Cakes to any future bride & groom!! I couldn't have been happier. :)
