They started out ok. Jim was our sales rep. We asked for a quote that included a tent, fabric to drape on every other pillar at the ceremony, two bars and a table. Our quote was in January and we got multiple quotes and found our cater had the best price on the tent so we went with them and dropped the tent from the decorators order. In the spring i get a very obnoxious voice mail from Jim saying the caters called for a tent on our behalf. I was like Nope you were over $1000 more then them. No way! When i call him back he explains they explain they called a different part of the rental company for business asking for a quote for our venue on the same day so he assumed it was for us. His staff alerted him and he wanted the sale. i explained that they were over $1000 cheaper and had no delivery or set up fee. He told me to e-mail the price quote and he would match it. I felt this was extremely shady of him to try to steal the caters business. We called the caters who said they were have trouble getting them to respond anyway. They explained that they were getting a quote because they were a recommended vender of the venue but they typically use a better priced company. They called to discuss with the decorators what had happened. The caterers said that they would remove the tent we were contracted for at no charge and to save us more problems to just go with the decorators direct- they weren't getting anywhere with them anyway. So we e-mail the caters quote to Jim so he could match the price. Instead, he just bashed the tent the caters were ordering and talked about how amazing the $1000 more tent was and how he would not do anything but the super expensive tent. He said the caters tent would work but his tent would "make the party" I refused to talk to the decorators from this point on. I was so irritated. He ended up doing a 5% discount on our huge order it was a little more than a $100 off and was going to take 1/2 off the delivery fee. we added the bars in July and Jim was out. We didn't know it but he just did not call us back so we tried the general number and someone else helped us but then she added the full delivery fee back in (we didn't notice this until we made our final payment)Then i called to do the last payment and i could not get a hold of any during business hours! I called Jim but he was not answering i called his alternate no response. I e-mail to ask what to do. I had my husband call the general number after 3 days of calling/e-mailing at least 3 times a day. About the time he called i got an e-mail that said just use the fax form i used for the first payment. So i did. But it turns out it goes to Jim private fax and he was out of town. Finally we get a call a few days before the wedding to tell us we have a balance due. It was a different person that we hadn't talked to yet and the other two were both out of town now, how would we like to pay? The credit card was at home so we told her we were no at home and the credit card we needed was at home. Not more than 30 min later and another call "i see you have a balance due how do you want to pay?" Serious we try to pay for 5 days and no answer and then they call us twice in less than an hour! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i gave the phone to Adam to avoid exploding and i NEVER get that mad... my friends called me the anti-bridezilla i didn't get seriously mad at anything when i really could have. i didn't even blow up at my mom or aunts when she and my aunts decide that my two cousins, who were standing up, dresses wouldn't get them enough attention so they secretly changed the dresses from blue our wedding colored to a very flashy loud purple dress that matched nothing... my mom told 3 days before the wedding and told me wedding are about the mother of the bride not about the couple... so i really think i am pretty rational when it comes to exploding! Then they charged the wrong credit card. I maxed out my discover card with the initial payment and marked the do not keep on file box on the form because of this. They charged it for the final fee even when we told the to charge a totally different card, thankfully i check my credit cards regularly and was able to pay an overnight payment to my card before the charge came off the pending status and put my card overdrawn. This is where we discovered the fee was added back on to our delivery. They said we fight for it when Jim came back and we did get it back but then after the wedding we got another bill for the tent. Thankfully Jim canceled the extra charges and my card was not so close to being maxed.Wait there's more...So at our meeting at the bridal expo at the venue he explained that we did not have to worry about getting them access with with the venue for set our take down they discuss this directly with the venue- a perk of being a preferred vender. So in July when the venue called about the decorators order I was shocked. The venue said they never discussed times and they can not set up when here is no one scheduled to open the doors. They ended up figuring out a way to work with the decorators to get in close to the time they wanted but what a pain. Then the decorators call us and say there will be an additional fee for late pick up the same night. Wouldn't you mention it before you give us a quote, or before for the week of the event?! We called the venue and explained how difficult they were bring and they were able to allow them to come Monday instead of same night if we could guarantee they would be there before the close. Last wedding they came to pick up on a Monday after hours so she had to pay her staff overtime due to their lateness. So back to the decorators to confirm the time and guess what a new fee for a guaranteed time (a little less than the late night fee). and finally, the $650 draping fabric was done wrong. it was supposed to hang over every other pillar (it was Jim's suggestion too) and but it was tucked in every pillar so it messed up the florist that specifically made the flower pots to look nice under the pillars that did not have draping. It was a mess!!they were nothing but a pain and a HUGE stress to an already stressful event they did try to recover themselves with a 5% discount and 1/2 of delivery fee but it was not worth the stress, shadiness or constant mistakes we suffered. AWFUL!

I used Classic Party Rentals for my silver chiavari chairs and table number holders. The chiavari chairs were beautiful and they really made a difference for our wedding. I had gotten various quotes for the chairs and had actually gotten a quote for a lower price then what Classic Party Rentals' price is. I asked them if they would honor the same price and they did! It was fantastic because I wanted to go with a known, reputable rental company like Classic Party Rentals, and this way I was able to afford it. Tina, my main contact there, was SO SO great. She was very responsive and helpful with all my questions. Plus she was so assuring, even writing me emails about how I should enjoy the planning process and try not to stress! She was so sweet and it really makes me want to say that every bride in the Chicago area should rent from Classic Party Rentals!

Huge variety of table linens. Extremely helpful staff. I paid a bit more than I wanted, but it was worth it in the end.

My mother and I were able to go to the showroom in McCook and were blown away by the amount available. Also, we were able to meet on site with the tent people to show them exactly what we wanted.
