Cage and Aquarium was absolutely awesome! I planned my wedding from VA (not an easy task) but they made it so effortless that I was totally cool, calm and collected....a bonus! Neville was our music man and after a phone meeting where we discussed my wide range of musical tastes and what I envisioned, he coordinated the most incredible play list ever. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. I was the happily dancing all night long!!! I cannot thank Neville enough for his work that night ~ I still smile about how much fun it was on the dance floor! Book them!!!

While they were not the cheapest, the value of what they provided was far beyond what either of us would have ever expected. Working with scheduling hiccups (not their fault, someone else's) they kept things running seamlessly. We had given them guidance on what we wanted them to play and they matched it perfectly to their own ability to read the crowd on the dance floor. Our guest list spanned several generations and we had everyone here from ravers to indie kids to folks that loved northern soul. Everyone was happy all night long.

We had a great experience with Cage and Aquarium as our wedding DJ. We are very into electronic music, and wanted a DJ who would be willing to do a complete 180 and substitute the typical wedding music favorites for a variety of dance music. Daniel was spot on in fulfilling our wishes - he was right on target with a mix of drum n bass and dubstep tracks (that were still appealing to the non-electronic music fan) and dance remixes of top 40 songs. He was more than happy to play specific tracks that we provided, and did a great job mixing them in with the rest of the tracks. We got so many compliments on our twist on the usual wedding dance, and a number of guests told us they really felt like they were at a fun club for the night. Exactly what we wanted!

Kevin Price had the crowd dancing the whole night! We have had so many compliments on the music from our wedding and have Kevin to thank for that! Even at midnight, all of our guests wanted Kevin to continue the party due to how great the music was. For that, we cannot thank him enough. Awesome! I think the DJ was my biggest concern in finding a vendor, but when we met Tyler from Cage and Aquarium, all of our worries subsided. He and Shelley matched us with DJ Stolie who was so not what I expected in a DJ, but absolutely a perfect fit for us! She was detailed in planning and everyone loved the music and danced all night. To save on cost we decided to have the DJ for the ceremony as well, which could easily not go well, but Stolie did an amazing job with each of the songs and blending of music. She kept us on target with timing and toast and was flexible when we changed things up in the middle of the reception.

I was so happy with our choice of DJ! Cage and Aquarium is awesome! Our DJs were Ryan and Twan and they had the dance floor hopping from beginning til end. Ryan was a great emcee and they also did a great job with the ceremony.

We could not have been happier with our Cage experience from meeting with Shelley at the beginning to having incredible wedding reception music!! The combo of live music with Acoustic Sideshow during cocktail hour and DJ Rich the rest of the night was fantastic. Acoustic Sideshow is just awesome and so much fun, set a great tone to the night. We loved the way Rich incorporated bands/genres we liked throughout the night, even during dinner, while still keeping all of the guests happy. And he just blew it out of the park when the party started after dinner; people were dancing all night long and were still talking about how awesome the music was long after the wedding!

Anthony (Twan) was our wedding DJ in August at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Overall, we were extremly happy with what we got. The caliber of Cage's DJs is top notch, and we really liked that they aren't just full-time wedding DJs - far from it. They did a great job selecting a DJ that would be a good fit for us, and Twan really cared about matching the music style to what we liked. He was very reassuring and friendly, as well. Picking a DJ was the vendor choice we were the most nervous about, but it ended up being a easy process and we weren't nervous after meeting him at all. Also, after weeks and weeks of looking for a good first dance song, we ended up picking one that Twan recommended, which neither of us knew, but we both loved - "I'll Be Your Mirror" by Clem Snide. We would recommend Cage and Twan to anyone who wants a great DJ without any guessing or stress ahead of time.

One of my favorite moments of my wedding day was watching my usually reserved, non-dancing new husband do the worm across the dance floor. Someone made a comment that they looked around at one point and the only person not dancing was my great-aunt...who is on an oxygen machine. Even my grandmother got out on the dance floor. Two weeks later, she's still recovering. This never would have been the case if we didn't hire Cage and Aquarium to DJ at our wedding. You'd be crazy not to hire them. I found Tyler and Shelley's team via Yelp and they impressed us from the get-go. We sat down with Tyler at the beginning of the process to find out what Cage and Aquarium was all about, and we were ready to book them after that first meeting. We kept in contact via email and sat down for about 2 hours in the weeks before the wedding to go over our timeline, our must-play and do-not-play lists and give Tyler an idea of what we were looking for. We didn't have anything too specific in mind, but Tyler was able to put together a playlist that was perfect for us and our guests. Tyler visited our site beforehand to see what was needed in terms of sound systems and lights. The reception was perfect. Tyler and Shelley kept us on schedule and got the party moving. The music selection was great and everybody had a great time. At one point, several people were requesting a song we had on our "do not play" list. Tyler read the crowd, decided to throw the song in and I have to say: we were wrong. It was a big hit and they were all so happy we relented and let the song play. I had nothing to do with it. It was all Tyler and Shelley. Our guests were so happy and had a great time, and that's all we cared about. You may have read in other reviews that the night ended with everyone yelling "ONE MORE SONG!!!!" That was definitely the case at our wedding. Everybody had a great time and no one wanted to leave. It couldn't have been any better. Hire Cage and Aquarium.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Stolie, and a better DJ company than Cage and Aquarium. Music was pretty high on our list of important things at the wedding and Stolie delivered everything we asked for and more. The dance floor was packed, we heard everything we wanted to hear, her timing was perfect, her instincts are great. I think our guests killed her with requests but she kept a smile on her face and kept the great tunes coming, as did her awesome assistant/boyfriend :) As far as the company goes, Tyler is great manager who matched us really well with Stolie, and the optional online payment system is super convenient. Unless you want to hear crappy/corny music at your wedding, you should hire Cage and Aquarium immediately. We were completely satisfied and had an absolute blast/rockin party, which is exactly what we wanted!

We worked with Shelley and Tyler at Cage and Aquarium. When we first met them, it was like we were hanging out with friends talking about music. They just seemed to "get" our music styles and knew what would work with the crowd. I also appreciate that they don't play cheesy music unless you specifically ask for it. At our wedding, the dancefloor was hopping all night. There wasn't a dull moment or awkward empty dancefloor. Most guests said it was the best party they've been to in years and couldn't believe these were wedding DJs. I highly recommend Cage & Aquarium's services. In addition to being great DJ's, they are also pleasant to work with. They are on top of things, unlike many wedding vendors. They are proactive and make sure you know what is going on at all times.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Cage and Aquarium Productions did a phenomenal job DJ'ing our wedding. From start to finish, they were easy to work with, responsive to our needs and concerns, professional, and the end product was amazing. The best thing about working with them was, with all the other details I was trying to juggle to plan this wedding, this was one area I did NOT have to worry about because from the beginning you can just tell they're on top of it, and they will not let you down. We worked with Tyler - he was friendly, a great listener, patient, and very accommodating to any requests. My husband is a self-proclaimed "music snob" and very hesitant when entering into the DJ selection process, but when the wedding was over and we were talking about the music, all he could say was "Wow." After each meeting and interaction with Tyler, we just got more excited about the wedding and the fun times we knew our guests would have with Tyler leading the way. If you're looking for a flashy DJ to crack jokes on the mike, lead you in the limbo, and heckle your guests to get them to dance, this is not the right company for you. If you want a classy event, one with such great music that your guests don't want to leave the dance floor at the end of night, these are the people for you. We literally had to shut the party down at the end of night or it would have just kept going. Their pricing is very competitive with other DJs (believe me we shopped around) and a great value considering the high quality of service you'll receive. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Cage and Aquarium, for helping make our reception perfect.

Cage and Aquarium were the perfect choice for our wedding- we have picky tastes in music but they didn't blink an eye at our requests. Our DJ's name was Erik and he had a great understanding of our tastes in music and made some wonderful recommendations for us. He was so much fun, he obviously loves his job. Almost everybody danced all night and had a blast, which made our reception the best part of the whole wedding experience!
