Our History
James and Michele started as the only DJ company in Chicago playing hip music wearing tasteful suits and sequencing the night. We started a wave of talent in the event industry here in Chicago and continue to do so with our talented DJs, documentary filmmakers & photographers. Since 1993, fig media's approach to DJ, film and photo for all kinds of events has been fresh, creative, and personalized to the client. Whether it's corporate or social, fig artists will listen first and then deliver excellently great music as well as great moments captured. All under one roof!
The MOD Deal
When you book all three services with us, we call it a "Mod Deal." Why? Because we like to think of it like The Godfather making you an offer you can't refuse." First, it means more people tracking your wedding, so more care and attention. Less things will fall through the cracks, there will be better back-up systems. So you don't have to worry about relying solely on one person to show up and pull off your wedding. Second, more people means better final results. We have a core team talking about their craft, best practices, latest trends. So you get a collective think tank. We pride ourselves on having a vibrant culture around the art of weddings. We enjoy working with each other and have a blast doing it. Third, convenience and ease; more vendors under one roof means less shopping, less vendor negotiation and coordination, and generally more value.
There are two ways to book with us.
1. Artist Booking: You book your deejay directly and lock them in for your date. Each artist has availability and books rates specific to them. When you choose your artist you book their artist fees directly.
2. Resident Booking: Pick your package and we select a deejay that fits you best.
